Check out this compilation! And her story!!
From Trainer: Jamie Cupp | Alaska is a 12 yr old, 14.2h Arabian cross and is my partner for the Appalachian Trainer Face Off. Alaska was a neglect case seized in West Virginia. She was in a pasture living off the side of the mountain with little to no food with a few other horses and was pretty emaciated. Through the Appalachian Trainer Face Off these neglected horses with barely any training will receive professional training to make them a better fit to find their forever home. Trainers will be selected and have 100 days with their horse to give them a good start under saddle and give them the proper care they deserve. At the end of the 100 days there will be a competition held in West Virginia where they will demonstrate basic handling skills such as standing, riding, saddling, and their handle under saddle. There will also be an obstacle course and a freestyle showcasing both the horses and training skills of the trainer. At the end of the competition there will be an auction that approved adopters can bid on each horse.
After roughly 60 days, Alaska has come so far and will be a great trail riding partner for someone! We she is so willing to please and is just the sweetest little mare. I’m excited to see what else we will accomplish in the next 30 days before we head back to West Virginia the end of August!
Those interested in adopting? Attend in person OR they accept call-in bidding. Check out more on this link below!
