Rescuing Alaska...

Check out this compilation! And her story!!

From Trainer: Jamie Cupp | Alaska is a 12 yr old, 14.2h Arabian cross and is my partner for the Appalachian Trainer Face Off. Alaska was a neglect case seized in West Virginia. She was in a pasture living off the side of the mountain with little to no food with a few other horses and was pretty emaciated. Through the Appalachian Trainer Face Off these neglected horses with barely any training will receive professional training to make them a better fit to find their forever home. Trainers will be selected and have 100 days with their horse to give them a good start under saddle and give them the proper care they deserve. At the end of the 100 days there will be a competition held in West Virginia where they will demonstrate basic handling skills such as standing, riding, saddling, and their handle under saddle. There will also be an obstacle course and a freestyle showcasing both the horses and training skills of the trainer. At the end of the competition there will be an auction that approved adopters can bid on each horse.

After roughly 60 days, Alaska has come so far and will be a great trail riding partner for someone! We she is so willing to please and is just the sweetest little mare. I’m excited to see what else we will accomplish in the next 30 days before we head back to West Virginia the end of August!

Those interested in adopting? Attend in person OR they accept call-in bidding. Check out more on this link below!

the Hidden Beauty

How about a real life transformation that we witness every week during this season. Have you ever really watched it? Since Dandelions happen to be my favorite flower….my daughter thinks its the best thing to fill our little vases with them. :D Within a week, they transform into the ‘bloom’ of seeds…..the puffball. From there awaiting for a swift wind to carry them beyond and start the process all over again. Feeding THOUSANDS of bees and insects. The beauty of this world that is literally right in front of our eyes…..but hidden as time passes by. Stop and witness the light that is all around.

Talk about an epic time….this bride has with anything life throws at her. We may have to celebrate in a way that is unexpected, but the memories that unfolded, were captured, tears that fell, times that was had is simply priceless. The wedding was planned for a HUGE ordeal at the Tincaps Stadium at the end of April. Instead, this was the BIGGEST way to make it happen sooner than later!! Still surrounded by the closest people in her life. The family! And how beautiful was she???!!!

Meet her Groom and his lovely Mom:

So take a look at just a few moments throughout this moment in time that will be
forever in our hearts!

Unplanned moments live in our minds end up so much louder as we grow old and I appreciate the ability as an artist to look back on this time and knew I was still surrounded in the impact of Love & Gratitude!

Dear Karley & Eric,

Thank You both so much for inviting me into your lives, sharing your moment of unity! This is a pivot point in many lives and with us facing so much uncertainty….it’s a FRESH breathe of air to be engulfed in the power of LOVE! LOTS TO TELL, But first, let me show...

…you a few things that have been in the works. For starters, this fine young man narrows the finish line in his High School career! Between all the projects, this night session was an amazing opportunity. Pulling out all the tricks and using the light to make a great collection! Thank You Jensen and Kevin (Dad) for the amazing walk in the newest park in the Fort. It was a pleasure capturing these for you! Especially since I’ve got the pleasure of watching Jensen grow up. Wow….how time flies!

*If you’ve landed here first, please check into the Instagram/Facebook for more peeks!

Enjoy these few and look forward to creating his High School Senior photo book of favorites.

The Eden's Annual Murder Mystery was AWESOME!

Mad Hatter themed and SUCH a good time collaborating with others to find the murderer. And we are already counting the days down for next years! From the mystery….clues….playing master detective….the time spent is awesome! They also spoiled us with a best costume and give-a-ways for simply attending!! Thank You for an amazing time! One of my favorite events of the year!

Sara & Adam coming soon!

And then……there’s this amazing love story. The Lord brought these two together to tackle this journey side by side and now, we get to capture the upcoming BIG DAY! I get to call this beautiful bride family. And we are simply two peas in a pod! Our energy just feeds from each other and when I offered to conduct her session in this particular part of the woods….it just flooded some of her childhood memories. So then Sir Adam was able to learn a bit more about her. Then there’s Adam…..such a warm soul and super easy to capture. After all, you cannot deny the love when it’s this pure. Enjoy your sneak peeks here, gallery is about to launch! Thank YOU all for the patience to at least see a few in the heat of one of the busiest and personally challenging falls I’ve had in 8 years. It’s a crazy fun journey in this business and the sky is not my limit. <3
